Wow, this month has flown by! God has worked in powerful ways here in Costa Rica, every day I feel as if I have learned something new about Him and His powerful plan. If there is anything, though, that I feel God has been teaching me the most about, it is the fact that He is in control of everything. He is the one to make things happen, and I am simply just the messenger. This has helped me so much as our time at UCR has come to an end. "What after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe-- as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow" (1 Corinthians 3:5-7). This past week some people's desires to pursue God through the studies have fizzled out, and other people have eagerly strived to learn more about God's word, and change their lives according to it. Through seeing this so clearly throughout the trip, I think all of us have found peace and confidence in the fact that we did what we could, and the rest is up to God, the people we have reached out to, and prayer. We have a handful of students that are really seeking God with all of their hearts and it has been inspiring to watch. So for those reading, please pray for those in which the seed has been planted among. I am beyond excited to see exactly how God grows the church here in Costa Rica over the next year. I have great faith that it will be more then we could ever imagine!
